We want to bring to your attention a debt collection scam that could cause some serious harm.
If you are to get a call from Ignore the call supposedly from the U.S. Treasury Department telling you that they are collecting an outstanding debt for an unspecified financial institution and will arrest you if you don’t pay immediately by credit card or a re-loadable card – it’s a scam.
This scam may not be local to one state, so keep your eyes and ears open for anything sounding familiar to this or anything that may raise your suspicions and report it immediately.
